Morocco: Pigeon Two Ways at Les Deux Tours

Chef David Frémondière is responsible for the elegant food at the restaurant at Les Deux Tours hotel in Marrakesh.  This was my first experience with Pigeon, so I went all out and tried in in the form of a fois gras (above) and as a pastilla (below).  Both were excellent.

Morocco: Markets & Street Food

From the spices to pastries to fresh fruit, the food vendors and markets in the Medina offer tons of interesting and tasty items.  Above Kelley and Megan are selecting a few pastries from a little “bakery” near the riad where we stayed while in Marrakesh.

Morocco: Essoauira Beach Fish Shack

Taguenza is a little beach fish shack/hut WAY off the beaten path on the beach in Essaouira, a favorite escape of Les Soeurs Miserables.  Everything is grilled perfectly, seasoned with a small amount of salt and pepper, and served with fresh lemon.  Really doesn’t get much better than this.
